Unfortunately, you are not currently able to change your email address once your account has been created. This is something that we hope to have the functionality to do in future but for now you will need to delete your account and start a new one with the correct email address. In order to delete your account, please email support@smilingmind.com.au from the email account you wish to have deleted and we will guide you through this process.
Easy! Simply visit this page and follow the prompts.
This only works if you created your account with the email and password fields on sign up. If you used a social media account (Google, Facebook or Twitter) you will need to log back in with these accounts.
All of our Adult, youth and education programs are free to use, so you won't need a PIN to unlock them.
The only program that requires a PIN is our Workplace Program. This is a digital learning experience that has been specifically designed by organisational psychologist for use in the workplace. It includes a combination of videos, guided meditations and practical activities. You can purchase the program here, alternatively, you can have your Human Resource team reach out to us to further discuss having the Smiling Mind Workplace available at your place of work.
Unfortunately, it is currently not possible to sync Smiling Mind with your Apple HealthKit. As a not for profit we often don't have the resourcing to immediately deliver new features. However, we would love to have this feature available in future and it is something that we are actively investigating. We will be sure to announce if this ends up eventuating.
As of version 4.0.0 we have added a Female voice option to over 50 meditations in the app. If the option is available you will see a toggle to select which voice is used just before you start a meditation.
Yes! You can turn the background music on/off during your meditations by pressing the music icon located at the bottom of the meditation screen. From here you can also control the volume of the music and choose to set it up to continue after a meditation is complete or to end with the guided audio track.
We take your privacy very seriously and have a number of procedures in place to ensure that all data we collect is protected. This is all set out in our policy here.
We have developed our policies according to the strict privacy laws that govern us in Australia. The data we store about each user is that which is collected during account creation: your first name, last name and email address. All information collected is securely stored and is protected by our privacy policy and terms of use.
Our privacy policy clearly states that we do not disclose any personal information to any third parties without consent. As a non-profit organisation, it is absolutely essential to us that we exist to support our community and as such we would never pass your details on to a third party without your express and written consent.
The first step is to ensure you're logging back in using the method you initially signed up with. For example; if you created an account with Google, Facebook or Apple, you will need to sign in via that account, rather than using the username and password fields.
If you signed up by entering your details directly into the Smiling Mind app, double check your email and password is correct. Note: our app is case sensitive, so capital letters are important!
Make sure you have the latest version of the app. You can do this by visiting the Apple App Store or Google Play store on your device and downloading the Smiling Mind Update from there (desktop users do not need to do this step).
If you are still having trouble, please email support@smilingmind.com.au with the version of the app and the device type you are using and we can try to help.
As of version 4.0.0 of our app we no longer support the 'Sign in with Twitter' option. You can choose to create a new account and start a fresh or contact us to have your meditation minutes migrated to another account.
Workplace codes are only active for a certain time period. Please check in with your wellness or HR team for the specific end date of your Workplace Program.
Sometimes these emails can get marked as junk or spam so check the spam folder in your email account.

Our workplace program is designed and delivered by psychologists who have been trained in mindfulness techniques. The program can be delivered face-to-face or online and can\ be either short term or over a longer time period. We also offer a range of programs covering general workplace culture and even specific workshops on mindful leadership and its application in your business. For further information, please refer to the Workplace Program on our website, or contact us at suppport@smilingmind.com.au
Our Support Team is ready to help workplaces with any and all queries. We also work with organisations to develop ways to support their specific group, as they experience our program. This may include regular meditation sessions, reminders and tool kits to get them engaged with their mindfulness practice.
The program is flexible, so you can pick and choose elements to suit your budget and needs. While you can choose to run one or more workshops or you can choose to just purchase the app, we recommend that you run the workshop series and also subscribe to the app. This will mean that your staff will get a solid understanding of mindfulness and meditation through the workshops, which are supplemented with exercises and meditations on the app. As you know, it is important to ensure staff members start practising the skills they learn to build their mindfulness muscle, and this program is specifically designed to ensure they develop a regular practice. This is the only way to develop a new way of operating and contributing to a cultural shift, where looking after our mental wellbeing is valued and encouraged.
